TORONTO-- Christopher Ralph, a young Newfoundland actor working in Toronto, has been picked up as one of the leads in a new 19-part series for the Disney Channel.

Ralph, who also starred in the YTV show Animorphs, will play Jamie Waite, one of a team of young Emergency Medical Technicians in the new show In a Heart Beat.

Produced by AAC Kids, the children's label of Alliance Atlantis, In a Heartbeat is a live-action drama inspired by the real-life stories of volunteer EMT squads staffed by high school students.
